Whether you’re a yogi, foodie, or yogi-foodie, this Escape to the Cape: Yoga & Culinary Retreat on Cape Cod has it all!
Three glorious years living on Cape Cod have given us the inside track on the best this stunning destination has to offer. We are the perfect duo to host you on a memorable yoga retreat experience—combining the zen of yoga with the joy of gourmet food crafted by my husband, “Mr. HotDish,” –an amateur chef with attitude!
Cape Cod isn’t just a beautiful beach destination—it’s where it all started for me. After completing my Kripalu Teacher Training, my neighbor, Silene, miraculously gathered her friends for yoga in my foyer. The rest they say…is history.
This yoga retreat perfectly reflects the Bold Venture Yoga Travel Ethos, “It takes more than a beach to make a yoga retreat.” Cape Cod masters the mix of natural beauty, fascinating local history, unique characters, a dash of chaos, and loads of charm. Moreover, the Cape has a healthy year-round community so everyone you meet won’t be just another tourist or engaged in the tourist trade.
While Cape Cod is known for its perfect September weather, we welcome the occasional rainy day—it gives us the perfect excuse for adventures like exploring Boston’s Freedom Trail, strolling through the North End, possibly visiting Plimoth Plantation (take a pass on “The Rock”). Or we might head south to Newport Beach to tour the Rockefeller and Vanderbilt mansions, and enjoy an old-school dinner at our favorite Italian supper club. Picture it: veteran waitresses, red vinyl booths, and a parking lot full of Crown Vics!

One of the top highlights of our Cape Cod yoga retreat is a bike tour of Martha’s Vineyard. We’ll be up early and catch the ferry to Oak Bluffs. From there, we’ll hop on bikes and pedal over to a much smaller (and more famous) ferry over to Chappaquiddick Beach. “Chappy” is a quiet, and historical corner of the island that most tourists miss. For those who prefer a more relaxed approach, you can join us via shuttle bus for a leisurely exploration.
And of course, no retreat would be complete without exceptional food! Mr. HotDish (my husband) will be in his happiest place, whipping up lobsters, scallops, and other fresh seafood. He’s also known for his incredible swordfish and famous paella. This is truly a foodie retreat with a side of yoga—two passions blended for the ultimate wellness experience.
Each day includes serve-yourself and short-order breakfast options as well as robust happy hours with small plates and family-style meals. All drinks (alcoholic and non) and snacks are included. For lunch, we’ll often be out exploring, so they are NOT included.
Whether you’re here for the yoga, the food, or the adventure, Cape Cod offers a retreat experience like no other. This was our home and we can’t wait to share it with you. You’ll not only meet us, but you might even get the chance to connect with some colorful local characters! Plus, September is the best time of year to be on Cape Cod. With the summer tourists gone, the locals reclaim the Cape, and the real magic happens.
