Shaila has been a yoga educator for over 20 years. She considers the teachings she passes on souvenirs of a life well-traveled and chances well-taken. Frequent moves between cultures and countries give her a unique perspective. She enjoys synthesizing classical yoga and meditation with modern best practices–always with a sense of humor! Certification in-residence at Kripalu (MA) in 2001 was difficult and inconvenient, but a crucial part of the path to becoming a teacher. YogaHotDish is a student-focused enterprise.
