Devote one hour of your week to stretching and being individually coached by a true expert. someone trained across multiple stretching modalities, including the original one, yoga. From eccentric to assisted, yin to dynamic, 20 years of hands-on teaching experience is at your disposal. Expect a small-group collaborative environment with lots of personalized coaching and customization–you won’t get lost in the back of some huge class watching the teacher stretch at the front.
Sure you can pay exorbitant prices at StretchLab or Lifetime for “stretchologists” (certified online), to give you all sorts of passive-assisted stretches, but, unless you’re a pro athlete, the evidence just doesn’t support that kind of stretching and the risk for joint injury is high.
Instead, show up Mondays at 8am to the North Oaks Golf Club for this small-group stretch class. Bring any kind of exercise mat if you have one, or borrow one.
All other props including bolsters, ties, blankets, blocks, are provided. Various implements will be used, including a massage/Theragun to make sure we get the tension out, improve mobility, range-of-motion, and even help you sleep better!
